Modular skid는 frame이나 module내 설비, 배관, 계장 등이 포함되어 설치된 공정 시스템이며 기본적으로 machine-in-a-box design으로 간단한 배관 시스템으로만 구성된 것도 있고 수천 톤에 해당되는 대규모 complex module도 있다.
